rosi is the musical project of producer and multi-instrumentalist Chris Petrosino. A multi-platinum, award-winning musician in his own right, he began writing songs for the project seven years ago in between studying classical piano at music school.

 

‘White Light’ is a collection of six songs written with vocalist Joni Mathews in Los Angeles and completed in London during quarantine. Collaborating only with Sam Petts-Davies (Frank Ocean, Thom Yorke) and Mandy Parnell (Bjork, Aphex Twin) for mixing and mastering, the debut evokes feelings of The Smile, Burial, and Jamie xx.

 

Half dystopian-anxiety and half introspective-alternative electronic, rosi reflects the strange future we walk in. The project launched with a guerilla art installation titled ‘pillar’ @ the Tate Museum along with various locations in London; the first releases were featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday, Fresh Finds, All New Indie, and Ultimate Indie. 2023 saw the project’s first sold out shows @ Mercury Lounge in New York City and Genghis Cohen in Los Angeles.
